Just a quickie from Sicily: basically, it’s a dump. Not much wifi about so reviews on hold till my return. Just a few bullet points: no civic pride as in mainland Italy - rubbbish everywhere; all buildings are being dismantled, or repaired, or being constructed, but nobody is working on any of them; the most dangerous roads and drivers in the universe; no planning laws except those chosen by the Godfathers; decent cheap food; overpriced hotels; good agriturismo and B&B; good people except those in fear; scurrilous youth culture very evident with many young men posing as mafiosi, evidently having seen the films.
Ah well, at least the food is good…
