Do you know where is the best location to see the lightening of Christmas lights on Regent Street on 07th November?
Thank you,
I think regent street lights are flipped on around the 20th November (Oxford street is on the 7th). I’d recommend standing outside Hamley’s. Hamley’s lights are usually the first to go on and are always quite impressive.
And maybe afterwards check out the lights down Carnaby Street, just a hop and a skip from Regent Street – last year they were really very pretty, and you might escape the crazy crowds a little.
Incidentally, having lived in London my entire life, 22 whole years, I have never watched the christmas lights being switched on. I reckon I never will, too!
I always think that the Regent Street lights always look better than the Oxford Street ones, I know that the Oxford Street ones always have the whole ‘Big Deal’ thing going on, but apart from Selfridges who the hell shops there????
I live near Sloane Square, and I must say Peter Jones just looks Fantastic….
Every year i go it stillamazes me , it looks fantastic and the buzz there is great really gets you in the mood for christmas
