Anyone going to any festivals this year?

speshalkay 15.05.2008, 16:22: I am off to T in the park again this year. The line up looks sooperb! To quote my bud Erk:

“T in the Park is gonna be s3x. There’s a lot of quite mainstreamish bands on, which you prolly wouldn’t like, but also a fair bit of less poptastic indie, dance, rock and what have you. I can’t wait to see Rage Against The Machine, The Chems, Aphex Twin, Amy Winehouse, Eddy Grant, Verve, Prodigy, Raconteurs, Ian Brown, Primal Scream, The Charlatans, Echo & The Bunnymen, Vampire Weekend, Ben Folds, Hot Chip, Paul Heaton, Battles, and the Fratellis. And that’s just my ‘must see’ bands - there’s so much more on! There’s enough bands for three festivals, really.”

Last year he and I missed all the bands on the Friday as we were traipsing through the mud looking for a space, then Erk opened the wine…...
Phil Chambers Administrator 15.05.2008, 18:48: Sounds like a solid lineup. I’m gonna see Vamp Weekend in Hamburg next week! They’re probably the best band ever… the other night I had to choose between Ian Brown and Lonely Dear… oh dear.

We’re just doing Saturday and Sunday. What days will you be there?

May well look out for you at RATM, The Chems, Amy Winehouse, Prodigy, Paul Heaton, and the Fratellis.
speshalkay 29.05.2008, 14:09: We are there all weekend! I will probably have a yellow leather jacket on, and be accompanied by a 6’ skinhead with a star tattooed on her head, and a diminutive baldy bloke with a mad beard :-) Lat year I had pink hair, but this year I think I will have a black hat.

I’m not kidding about the flag! We may opt for big lady pants again too.

Will probably have a black leather jacket on and be minded by a 5’4” Glaswegian with a star tattooed at the top of her back, a lizard on one shoulder, and alpha and omega on her wrists.

Really looking forward to it.
