Your local hero?

Rob Hinchcliffe Administrator 19.02.2008, 14:48: More often than not it’s the people who make the place, so this award is for those unsung champions who you couldn’t live without. Who’s the shopkeeper, the hairdresser, the barman, the waitress or the lollipop lady who makes your day?

I’ve nominated the guys behind Playin Games just because they’re some of the most helpful, smiliest, knowledgeable and nice people I’ve ever had the pleasure of buying something from!

To nominate your own local hero just find them on Qype and tag them up with the words ‘local hero’. Easy!

scottishwolf 20.02.2008, 10:24: Nicest staff in a pub in the world - ever. (actually maybe joint winners with the superb people behind a tiny bar in the Golden Gai in Tokyo…but that is for another awards…). The gang in the Dartmouth are friendly, funny, remember who you are, turn the TV on for you when Wolves are playing…very few pubs would do this…and create a fantastic friendly atmosphere to the place.

moonrising 01.03.2008, 15:14: Even though I’ve only met him once, when I try and come up with something for this award I keep coming back to this guy… Such a passion for what he’s selling. And very obvious that his shop was a community centre as well as a shop!
