On July 1st 2007 finding somewhere to enjoy a sneaky smoke became a whole lot harder, but there’s still a few precious spots left where you can enjoy a ciggy in comfort. So where are they?!
Let us know your top spots for a cig by tagging them with the words ‘still smoke’
It is a good one - I will have to come back to that.
I am a non-smoker but I liked it much better before the smoking ban in places. I find people threatening standing outside, drunk and smoking. Somehow you still get the smoke.
Sinners in Newcastle, just next to the point. You can’t smoke inside but they have a fully walled roof terrace thing with tables and chairs. It can get a bit cold sometimes, but it’s as close to indoors as you’ll get.
Sugar, you cannot smoke inside in Mewcastle anymore - a good advice where to go though. I wish they had a room for smokers inside. People who smoke will catch colds, not good for the lungs either…or the old system of bar and lounge > one for smokers, one for non-smokers.
I am still looking for the best place in Wales where one can smoke.
Guys, it is not easy!
I didn’t say inside… I said it was the closest thing you’ll get now.

Casa del Habano on London’s Wardour Street. Of course, you can only smoke Cuban cigars there, but that’s a good thing. And you can’t drink at the same time, but you can drink next door through the connected hall. It’s both classy, a fun night out, and you can smoke hardcore.
