Can I have a pint of HN Maypole bitter for being the first poster?
P
I own a small pub in Brighton, and I am interested in suggestions for guest ales. I have just three real ales so as to keep them in good condition with fast turnover. I am on CAMRA’s Ale trail so let me know any preferences. Happy drinking to all
Hook Norton is our best local pint. They brewed up a Maypole special for the 1st May celebrations in Oxford and it was sublime. Crisp and cold straight from the barrel. Heaven.
fullers do some very good winter ales,
@ Coastal:
In Brighton I’d stock 1 seasonal ale from the town (from the Dark Star or Kemptown breweries), 1 ale from a regional brewery (1648, Harveys, Rother Valley, or the White Brewing Company), and 1 ale that’s doing well nationally (Timothy Taylor Landlord or London Pride). And to keep in with CAMRA, avoid anything from Greene King like the plague (so no ales from Beard and Co. either).
I was in a lovely pub called the fox and anchor, not far from the Barbican, really great selection of ales and porter, not only was the beer in great condition, its served in a tankard,if you want
Currently our regular ales are, Harveys,London Pride and Adnams Broadside. Alongside on draught is Westons Cider
