You know the type, owners and friends who add very short reviews that have little content and always say things like "the best in town!", "food to die for!" and "best food I've ever tasted!". Let's protect the value of our honest comment and criticism on Qype.

I’d like to be able to review the same place more than once - e.g. if there’s a new exhibition on at an art gallery or if a thursday night is disco night at the local pub and different from monday’s quiz night; It’ll also give the reader an idea of whether or not the reviewer is a local and might be a good way of elevating/highlighting good information

Yes I agree. I added to my Strawberry Fair review..I did the this annual event is tomorrow then edited it and put in a bit called after the event.

Now festivals are where reviews can get really interesting, because Qype could approach them for freebies in return for putting them on the map…. plus agree with Templar, same fest will be different experience from one year to the next.

I had a thought today that it would be cool to have a ‘regular tab’ - where you could highlight if it was your first time, if you’d pop in if you were near or if you practically live there - I’d be much more likely to pay attention to reviews of regulars so I think this would be handy but it would still keep things pretty simple.

hmmm…or just different colours. Blue review boxes for the punters and pink ones for people passing through…or something…

Oh well if we are gonna start suggesting buttons I’d like one so that you can flag a place for future exploration if you’ve enjoyed someone’s review - or is that already there? A bit like ‘favourite place’ but er, not….

I assumed ‘Favourites’ covered a regular haunt. I wouldn’t go regularly if it wasn’t a favourite.
Maybe some existing functions merely need to be relabelled.
