If you want to find an idea of the animals you can find in South Africa, go to Johannesburg Zoo, in particular the “BIG FIVE”: lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinoceros and leopards. It refers to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot and are the symbol of South Africa.

This is a nice sandy beach near Tugela. The particularity of this place is that it’s never crowded. It’s perfect for romantic evenings :-)

Flag Animal Farm is a nice place to go with children. Kids can take pony rides, hand feed chickens, ducks, rabbits, cows, goats, sheep, pigs...
The animals are used to humans and can be approached very easily. They even walk free on the farm.

It is situated near Umhlali/Salt Rock on the N2 (North).

This is a cool casino, that looks like a town at night. It’s amazing! Don’t hesitate to stop by if you pass nearby.

If you are looking for a restaurant, go to Kai Thai (a Thai restaurant inside the casino itself), the food is amazing.

This is a gorgeous nature reserve near the sea. You can camp there as there is a campsite. There are also fishing and picnic areas. You can spot a lot of animals, monkeys, zebras, and barks in particular.

It is a nice casino near Durban. There is an African village inside, loads of restaurants, a big sweet shop, cinema, hotel… Great for a nice night out.

It’s the perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway.

The beach is just outside the property, you just need to cross the road.

Croc Valley Nature Reserve is situated near Umhlali / Salt Rock (5km from Ballito), Durban North Coast.

There you can find crocodiles and other reptiles that used to roam freely in the area. You can also spot monkeys and turtles.

It offers crocodile and snake feedings.

You can also find quad bike trails and paint ball games.

There is also a tea garden.
