The Harley Hotel is a great place! Whether that be for lunch and a pint, a good old dance, or you need somewhere reasonably priced and convinent to stay over in the centre of town and finally where would any review be without mentioning the music and the gin! The kitchen has recently been taken over by Bohans Irish Kitchen, of London road fame and I can say that the food is excellent! From simple ham and mustard sarnis to the beef pie accompanied by possibly the best mash I have ever tasted. The range of drinks is also top notch, all the draft you would expect from a city pub but also a massive range of spirits and especially the gin! Must not forget the gin! The venue plays host to wide range of music events from live indie bands, (having had both The Arctic Monkeys and The Long Blondes play formative gigs there back in the day), to banging electro nights. In short The Harley has a little bit of something for everyone! Get in there and drink some gin!

Well what can be said about the institution that is The Lescar, formally The Lescar Hotel? Exactly that to start with, its a Sheffield institution! Its been doing trade where it is for almost a century and after a period of decline is once again well and truly on its feet again! Upon entry you will notice a wealth of origional period features, coupled with a handsom modern twist i.e. pieces of retro furniture and the all inportant chalk boards of a modern fashion bar! And once you get to the bar you will not be dissapointed. It stocks one of the best ranges of draft in Sheffield, including some familiar faces and some not so! The food is also great, from trad pub grub to more arsty fair of tapas. All this teamed with great staff and a wonderfull beer garden make it a destination not to be missed!
