G & Ds George & Danver Ice Cream - Oxford

94 St. Aldates, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX1 1BT

05.05.2011

Love the ice cream from this place (and the two other stores). They often have different flavours than you might find in other stores and the 'flavour petition' folder is a stroke of genius. Personal favourite is After Eight flavour. On a sunny day, go and get an ice cream then wander through Christ Church Meadows.
(They sell other food too!)

Thai Bangler - Witney

79 High Street, thai bangla not bangler!, Witney, Oxfordshire OX28 6JA

05.05.2011

Visited this restaurant over Easter weekend and it was really nice - very busy, which is a good sign! The service was friendly and quick (not TOO quick though) and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Would recommend!

Fishers Restaurant - Oxford

36/37 St.Clements, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX4 1AB

22.07.2010

This restaurant sits just over Magdalen Bridge, on St. Clements. Despite being nowhere near the sea, the fish is fresh and delicious. One of our East Oxford team's favourite places to eat. Fishers is a supporter of the RNLI and of sustainable fishing.

The Bat & Ball Inn - Oxford

Cuddesdon, Denton, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX44 9HJ

22.07.2010

In the middle of stunning countryside, yet only five miles from Oxford city centre, lies a delightful coaching inn. A delightful restaurant with freshly prepared menu and a traditional village atmosphere. One of our East Oxford office's top places to eat.

The Crazy Bear Hotel - Stadhampton

Bear Lane, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX44 7UR

22.07.2010

In the top 5 of our East Oxford team's favourites, the Crazy Bear is great. It is stylish, with wonderful food (offering both English and Thai menus) and drinks (wines, cocktails, champagne...).

maverick I agree. Love this place! Have you ever stayed there?

FindersKeepers No, I haven't stayed there. But I would imagine from the restaurant that the hotel side would be equally fabulous!

Manoir Aux Quat Saisons (Le) - Oxford

The Manor Church Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX44 7PD

22.07.2010

Le Manoir is one of our East Oxford team's top 5 places to eat in the area. It is set in beautiful surroundings in Great Milton and has a large garden (which produces the vegetables and herbs for the kitchen). Le Manoir also has 32 bedrooms and offers private dining as well as cookery courses.

Malmaison Oxford - Oxford

3 Oxford Castle New Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX1 1AY

20.07.2010

This is an atmospheric restaurant located in the converted cells of Oxford’s old prison in the heart of the historic Oxford Castle site. The menu changes seasonally and the food is sourced locally. Our Central Oxford team really rate this.

Branca - Oxford

111 Walton Street, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX2 6AJ

20.07.2010

Interesting wire sculptures and Victorian mirrors adorn the walls of this vibrant restaurant in Jericho, bustling at lunch and from early evening due to their popular offer: a glass of wine and two courses for £15 - recommended by our Oxford teams.

Aziz & Pandesia Resturant - Oxford

1 Folly Bridge, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX1 4LB

20.07.2010

Enjoy classic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine as you dine on the jetty or in the restaurant overlooking the River Thames at Folly Bridge; watching the boats and rowers float past. Our Oxford team love coming here to eat.

The Trout - Wolvercote

195 Godstow Road, Lower Wolvercote, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX2 8PN

20.07.2010

The Trout boasts something for all seasons: a cosy fire in the winter, alongside a stylishly refurbished and well stocked bar; for the summer months, stunning views from the terrace by the river, with the addition of peacocks wandering amongst the tables. Our Oxford teams love to eat here.
