I’m really grateful to this man and his colleague who helped me out today when I was badly let down by another firm. They came over on a Saturday (after I rang on Friday afternoon) at exactly the time they said they would. They valued and bought several pieces of furniture for cash and took them away. Very friendly and helpful too and Paul Chubb is very knowledgeable about old and antique furniture. I highly recommend this firm.

Unveiled outside the Liberty Stadium in Swansea in 2005, this is a great life-sized statue of Ivor John Allchurch, the Welsh international footballer.
On the plinth are inscribed the words:
Ivor Allchurch MBE
’Swansea’s Golden Boy’
16.10.29 – 09.07.97The sculptor was Michael Field (born 1964) who lives in Cardiff (originally from Weybridge) who worked from photos supplied by Ivor’s widow. His other works include the bronze life-size bust of Alec Stock which is now at Yeovil Football Club.
Jane_Elizabeth So I believe, though (to be honest) I’m not actually a football fan!! :-D

Surprisingly huge shop full of instruments: The ground floor taken up almost entirely by pianos and sheet music and upstairs you'll find a large range of guitars from Dobros to Tanglewoods and Strats, plus amps, strings and so much more. There are many special offers, especially to tempt the beginner - some of the boxed sets (low-priced guitars with accessories) make good gifts.
Everything is laid out well on both floors and you can try out the instruments (provided you ask beforehand). There are small stools where you can sit to play the guitars.
The staff are pleasant enough but could be a touch more welcoming and helpful.
There's a car park to one side of the building which is free for customers.
The Enterprise Park is no doubt easy enough to get around if you're a local and used to it but otherwise can be confusing to find specific roads or particular outlets. There's an alarming amount of unsigned roundabouts and T-junctions.

Excellent store for all your outdoor needs; a wonderful collection of top brand waterproof and windproof clothing for all the family (including Berghaus and Peter Storm), also footwear, hats, gloves and underwear. Lots of reductions and bargains to be found in here too so it's always worth a browse around!
Great for good quality tents as well (including Blacks own brand); there is usually only one erected inside the store but there are shelves (over on the left as you go in) with plenty of others in handy and compact carry-bags. There are catalogues for you to take away showing the full range available and the staff are always ready to help and explain the best tent for your needs.
Plenty of accessories on sale as well, from binoculars and rucksacks to baby carriers, camping stoves and kettles, mugs and umbrellas.
I spent some time in this shop the other day and found Owain particularly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

A good branch of this chain which is much better than the other Wetherspoon in the city (The Bank), being cleaner and in better condition indoors. (Also the toilets aren't miles away upstairs through countless corridors and doors but at sensible ground level!)
A good selection of beer on offer including Tuborg, Marsdens, Carlsberg, Ruddles, John Smiths and Guinness. The house wine is a lovely Merlot.
There is varied seating throughout the pub, from wooden chairs with tables to nice alcoves. You can eat anywhere but there is a special dining area on the right as you go in, a bit similar to the Wetherspoon at Bridgend.
The Curry Club on Thursdays is recommended - prices are much lower than other days of the week and there is a wonderful variety of meals to choose from at all times - great for vegetarians too; there are even choices for vegans (I recommend the chick pea curry with extra poppadoms instead of naan bread). Lovely inexpensive desserts and good coffee as well!
We were served by Ben yesterday, who was really nice - but I also spoke to two other members of staff who brought the food and they were friendly and very helpful. We'll definitely eat there again the next time we're in Swansea.

Not my favourite Wetherspoon branch (and I've been in a lot of them over the past month - trying them all out for Qype!) The menu was just as good (very good value meals) and the bar staff were mostly friendly. Still on the plus side it's very spacious - there's even a dance floor at one end! There are wide screen televisions on the walls showing Sky News with the sound off and - at last - the first place I've been in (perhaps ever) which has the sense to switch on the subtitles!
On the down side, the tables, some chairs and all the internal doors were decidedly tacky and sticky and could do with a good clean and polish.
If you're female and in need of a lot of exercise then this will be a plus (but to others a definite minus): the ladies room is miles away upstairs along almost endless corridors and through countless doors. I thought it was some kind of cruel joke at first.
This pub was a bank at one time which is fairly obvious to most but should be common knowledge to the staff. However, I overheard someone asking someone working at the bar what it was before it turned into a pub, but they didn't know. Needless to say, old busybody me had to intervene and direct them to the Wetherspoon website where all is explained (I had checked it out before I left home).

A pretty good store for fashionable clothes for all the family. I was in there yesterday and looked through the wide range of new colourful cardigans and winter coats. There are many scarves, bags and gloves for sale as well and, to the back of the shop, there's a huge range of nightwear, shoes and slippers. There are often reductions and sale goods so you can sometimes find a bargain or two.

A great shop for all sorts of unusual gadgets, toys and gifts for all the family and to suit all budgets. There are puzzles and games, stocking fillers, electronic and clockwork novelties, puppets, lanterns and more. When I was in there today there were small pink pigs wandering around the floor, oinking as they went. They had helium balloons attached to their necks and seemed to attract quite a crowd. I imagine they are for sale to good homes but I didn't buy one.

We picked this guy out of a local guide when we were looking for someone to repair our shed and we were glad we did! Stuart Macfarlane is very experienced in all kinds of home maintenance, especially plastering but he's also good at so many other things! He's the person you need to ring if you need wall or floor tiling done, or coving, fencing, painting and decorating, flat-pack assembly, laminate flooring - not to mention repairing our shed roof! He tackles all jobs, even small ones which most people aren't interested in, and he's quick and thorough too. We intend to call him again to do a few more jobs for us soon!
