I came here for the first time for an Easter Special! Bunnies, loungers, fun fairs, Pim’s, sports games, 1920’s girls choir…were part of the decor. Despite the clear East-end underground feel to it, there was a huge mix of people from all walks of life…which made this event original.
The tunnels themselves are well, …. tunnels. Not much to say about that really. Yes, it’s full of corners & hidden places, 2 bar areas, wall art in some places and it does make the location quirky and interesting but in essence, these are just tunnels. No adequate bathroom is one of the drawbacks.
I think, the place is great if the event organized there is really successful. The Easter one was fun but nothing particularly amazing so you end up having a good time as you would normally, except that you’re in a tunnel with concrete walls, cobwebs, and no mobile network access :)
I’ll deffo go back there and try not only another event but possibly the auditorium venue too & I’ll feedback again. Watch this space…
