This airport is ridiculously rubbish...
One tip - when most flights are delayed and you struggle to find a seat - head to gate 10 which has a so so lounge bar,but it tends to be empty and the comfy sofas are ready for you to use. At least something. Damn you luton.

sarahdrinkwater I can’t wait for the Tokyo reviews to kick in! Hope you’re settling in OK?

Icecreamists - Covent Garden

15 Maiden Lane, London WC2E 7NG

01.07.2011

they done well on the advertisement and design side...
unfortunately for me totally failed on the taste.
unless they aim for watery, faint flavour cream like ice-cream.
the nutty flavours are passable... for quite nutty prices though.
one time (kitsch s&m) wonder
yawn (=__=)

Oishii Japanese Eatery - Stoke Newington

67 Stoke Newington, Church Street, London N16 0AR

14.11.2009 (aktualisiert am 12.06.2011)

Tasty Japanese food in Stokey, hurray! The place is very laid back, menu just what you need and the staff is friendly and helpful. So cute.

update 2011_ oishikunai :/ the agedashi tofu was so so greasy and the simple tuna salad salty to the point of being almost inedible. it completely put me off to try anything else. the weitress was very sweet though, shame the cooking didn't live up to the service. not sure what happened, but fix that soon please.

sarahdrinkwater This place is awful, did you read my review? It's right by my house but.... but....I keep going back cos it's the only sushi place in Stoke but it really sucks.

Bashi K. yes and i loved it. that is why i went back there to check it out as it was a while since i been and i was in shock...
however i totally understand how frustrating it must be if you have a sushi place by your front door and the only thing you can do there is make an origami out of their menu.

Indo Bar - Whitechapel

133 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1DT

oh Indo how i love theee... especially after a bottle of your merlot and the delicious 'garden' pizza. what a cosy local with good vibes, great tunes and interesting characters you most likely end up being best mates with.
so so many happy chappy memories :)
i will miss you x

Pizza Lupa - London

Story Cafe - Shoreditch

64A Sclater street, London E1 6HR

20.05.2011

Story Cafe is the former Story Deli from the Dray Walk, off Brick Lane.
Now relocated close to the Shoreditch High Street overground station in a more laid back premises with plenty of character and good vibes.
Family owned and run, organic, home made food - especially the oven baked pizzas - but also coffee, lemonade and CAKES. All that your tummy can desire. Happy days

Bashi K. btw i have to say the word 'pizza' is a huge understatement. this deserves an invention of a new term. any ideas?

Apples and Pears - Shoreditch

26 Osborn Street, Brick Lane , London E1 6TD

03.04.2011

wow, kudos to this place for my first attempt on downing a long drink in one go...
i dont know what time the previous reviewer have been to this bar, but i went there just before midnight on a saturday night purely out of curiosity and hell what an experience awaited me.
firstly i can't fault the decor and the layout of the place, but then you move on to the 'music' and the 'people.' hmm. well the music is just wrong..you know the stuff that is under the 5£ mark on itunes - that is pure gold compared to what my ears were hearing. the people...hmm i am not a judgmental type and also very tolerant and open-minded too, but with the majority of the 'all day in gym all night on coke' male types supersizedeyeing the 'high heels before bare feet after' female types i felt like i was in a ZOO with the exhibit 1 and the exhibit 2 just released from winter hybernating cage area to a free-run zone...
all i wanted to do was to hide in a safari jeep and drive off.
don't feed the animals!

ApplesandPearsCocktailBar Sorry about your past experience in April 2011. Since December 2011, Apples & Pears has been under new ownership and management, and the bar has changed significantly in terms of our music, our staff and our clientele, receiving 5/5 stars from reviewers on View London.
