Park your Vespa outside any hour of the day or night and run in to grab an espresso at the bar. Alternatively sit outside in the summer (if you can get a table) - it’s a great spot to people watch. Bar Italia is located just off Old Compton Street, in the heart of Soho, and it’s a real West End institution. Forget the Red Bull and get a coffee here before an evening of clubbing or come here after eating at a restaurant or after the theatre. Bar Italia is always full of interesting characters: it’s gay-friendly but not gay-dominated, and there’s buckets of somewhat cheesey Italian charm.
