This place is brand new it just opened this week! On victoria Retail Park at Colwick next to Argos Extra and Next Etc. Its on two floors with about 50,000 sq foot and is a non-food store. It is basically anything you can find in the Tesco Direct catalogue, kind of like Argos but with more on display, althoug not everythig. It sells clothing, health & beauty, furnishings, homeware, cookware, toys, home entertainment items and electrical goods. They even have a Costa Coffee Café where you can chill and browse the catalogue.It kind of works like ikea with a Order and Collect Area for larger items and some smaller items on show although not everything so it is more like Argos in that aspect.
Its a nice store very large with plenty of staff on hand, was shocked however to find that they dont actually stock EVERYTHING and somethings cannot even be delivered to store and there for you must pay a charge to have them delivered to your home. I wanted a bookshelf from their value range, I was shocked to find they didnt stock it (this is a value range remember) and it cant be delivered to store and I have to pay to have it delivered to my house which to have it done when I am not at work as they only operate a “call you 1 hour before its delivered service” would take over 2 weeks!! all for a £18 value book case by which time I had paid delivery charges would no longer really be a “Value” item… must be some kind of marketing idea to screw you of your money as the only way to get it is to pay for it to be delivered how clever! So its only good to get certain items.

This place is great value for money occasionally they have fab bulk buy like 10 cards for a quid!! Great for stashing so you never get caught short on those birthdays that just slip your mind. At Christmas its great for buying rolls of wrapping paper and packs of gift bags, all very cheap and still decent quality. I love their selection of photograph frames too, make nice gifts.
The shop lay out is bad as it only takes a couple of people to be queuing before you cant move anywhere. It would be suited to a larger store with more areas for the tills. In summer the store becomes like an oven for some reason guess they dont have air con as the store has no windows.

This place is really big and set out on two floors siutated in the victoria centre. The females is on the ground floor and the males in the basement.
They do have some nice clothes, but alot of it is over priced. I tend to go to Topman and buy deals on t-shirts for my husband like 2 for £12. They have shoes and loads of accessories again for both males and females. They have gift sections where you can also stock up on munchies like haribos!!
They have good sales too and offer student discounts. I dont like the Kate Moss range though but I do however like the underwear offers like mix and match.

Italian High Street shoe shop, a bit pricey at full price but always something reduced and you can catch some bargins at 50% off at the end of season got some knee high brown leather boots for £30. They do mens shoes and boots too which my husband seems to love and have lasted well. The quality is very good and especailly if you catch them at sale time its even better. There is also a small range of accessories such as sunglasses and jewellerr again for both males and females.
Only down side is sales assistants trying to push shoe cleaner into your purchase.. not cool!

I think this place has now been rebranded “Paper Sun”, its on the ground floor of victoria centre near to le senza. a bit expensive but good for that special black dress ;)
seem to be having loads of sales at the moment like £15 an item and any two sale items for £20 which is a label bargin.
Its on two floors, the dressing rooms are in the basement, a bit of a problem if you cant get down stairs as they dont have a lift.

I love this shop but you have to be willing to spend time digging to find a bargin in your size unless your really small or large.
Its better for gifts, they have a large jewellery counter on the ground floor and also lots of perfumes. I love the household department downstairs you buy ornaments, rugs through to kitchen implements and gadgets that are well slashed in price and would ususally only be found in lakeland plastics.
Theres a kid section with some gifts and stuff for babies too. I think the new store is better than the one in Broadmarsh especially for location.

This shop is really good they always seem to have a little sale area and I got some really nice Playboy keyrings for a couple of quid, its quieter and faster than the on in victoria centre. They stock all kinds of cards and seasonal stuff. I love the money boxes with the funds on the outside. I like Clintons for buying single sheets of wrapping paper when its someone birthday or little gift bags and stuffing them with shredded colour paper. My favourite buy is the little credit card sized cards with messages that people can keep in their wallets that cost about a quid and seem to go down well with friends and family

Used to go here loads, but not any more after they built the drive through near Pizza Hut. They werent too good with large orders always forgetting something and seem to have large staff turn over with newbies always training on the tills at peak times.
Parking is terriable always have to leave someone in the car as you have to park in th elittle side streets and so you dont get a ticket. They didnt used to take care of the resturant area too much either guess its due to a lack of staff. Only plus things is they do have a larger seating area than most standard KFC resturants and they have a kiddies table area.

I love south Pier with its large amusement Arcades, rides and bars.
Its great for an evening walk out to sea and you can stop and have a drink. For the youngsters and thrill seekers there are plenty of rides and games including a gaint swing that swings you out over the pier and bungie ball thing that fires you up into the air, if you like those kinds of things. If your a little less adveturous there is a selection of games stalls and hook a duck. There are a few shops for sovenirs of your visit and you can pay a visit to have your palms read too.
