EXCELLENT - FOod was delicious!

We had the Fish Tea and High Tea with Lasagne - best ever! The place was clean and nice and the staff polite and helpful.

We even had Iron Brew Ice Cream for afters =)

The decor was modern but the atmosphere was of a classic seaside eatery - and the smell will keep me happy for days!

My only complaint was a trumped up little girl who thought she was the chef (to be honest the real chef made our food - as tasty as him lol) The cackling laughter and shouting from the munchkin would have ruined our meal if the rest of the experience wasn't as good.

My advice - YOU MUST GO HERE TO EAT - but try and avoid the munchkins shifts - then im sure it would be 200%

ChazTag Haha! I sooo need to agree! I know the little girl your taking about - vertically challenged but puts it all in the volume!

I have been going to the Palace for many years but it was taken over two years ago - hallelujah! Its been spruced up and the food has added a few inches to my waste line! And I cant help having a little red number along with my pasta. An absolute must on a visit to Helensburgh. But I would agree - try and avoid the little madame - kills the ambience!

PearlofGlasgow Im glad it wasn't just me that felt like that...thought I was maybe becoming an old foggy! But I would still put up with her for that fish..yum!

Idea Family Restaurant and the food is delicious … especially if you like spice!

DO NOT GO IF YOU DON NOT LIKE CHICKEN.. you have been warned!

Food is really good and healthy and kids meals are almost as big as the adults. Combined with frozen yoghurt and bottomless drinks kids go home happy - no need for ids packs here!

This is very reminiscent of lager louts on a beach holiday!!! Its buffet, all you can eat… and boy they do. Not much on offer and very middle of the road menu wise.

This is the best of the Ashoka’s. It stands out a mile. Best South Indian Garlic Curry (try it with the Pashwari!!!) Excellent. The owner Naz could not be nicer and the staff are helpful and friendly. Recommend to everyone!

This was excellent when it opened - hey I love Kebebs!!

Now it has a name and the food is AWFULL!! It is advertised as a family restaurant and we were told not to bring kids after 8 due ti licensing laws!! thats rubbish!!!

Maybe when they lose popularity the service and food will improve and they will welcome the kids … who are welcome round the corner at PARS if you are refused!!!

SunnyDee Who would bring kids after 8:00? People are going to be drinking wine and things. Their doing it for the safety of your own children. You didn't even review the food and service properly. And by the way they haven't lost popularity, they gained it due to the excellent food. I respect your opinion but i think this is a terrible piece of writing. Its not even a proper review. :)

I cannot comment on the food at this restaurant as I was refused service on a Saturday evening because I had my children with me. It did not suit the type of clientele they were encouraging!

This was my hairdressers for years before they started changing stylists every week. Not too sure any more about quality of hairdressers but the beauty side cannot be beaten. Ideal for pampering.

Be warned…I went here to have highlights. They insisted on colouring it first. I did NOT want a cut. After colouring she used a cap to highlight my hair and put me under the dryer. My hair melted off my head!!! I asked her if the steam was a clue? I had to have my hair cut short to get rid of the burns. She then had the cheek to charge me £50 for the colour she put on that I didn’t want in the first place. My hair is still burned to a crisp!
