The Landmark London - Marylebone
222 Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London NW1 6JQ
28.07.2009
The Winter Gardens in the Atrium is an absolutely fantastic room, with it’s high ceilings.. and surrounded by people enjoying high tea. You also have a person playing a piano whilst you eat, which is lovely.
The sticky toffee pudding was fantastic, as were the fish and chips.
For the ladies.. the restrooms are superb, with obviously Molton Brown accessories.
The Mirror Bar, just to the right of the Atrium, is quite a small bar, but with great service.
Hummus Bros - Holborn
37 - 63 Southampton Row, London WC1B 4DA
19.12.2008
Had Lunch here today… with some work mates… we had the lamb, chicken and falafel stuff… It was actually quite nice… I’m addicted to Hummus at the moment… however they give you chilli and lemon and garlic separate here.. so you have to dress to your liking! .... Here.. they surround your dish with hummus… so I did have a bit of sauce overload but it was cool..
Hot spiced apple drink was lovely… and we were given Mint Tea on the house.. also lovely..
So we’ll be back!....
nitenite Hotel - Birmingham
18 Holliday Street, Birmingham, West Midlands B1 1TG

Stayed here for business on last minute… rooms reminded me of a cruise ship type room… but just enough room…
Loveddd the plasma screen showing outside images… made me chuckle on first seeing it…
Weill definitely stay here again…
Absolutely great value for money, close to New Street Station.. and food was good in the restaurant.. though quite pricey compared to the pricing structure of the hotel…
Maoz Falafel - Soho

Well I was recently converted to the world of Falafels as I never used to be a fan… My work colleague bribed me with chips… So off I went… Lol. Just round the corner from Wardour Street etc… is this place… you basically order a small meal which includes falafels in a pitta bread, with homous, and on top of that… free reign to add in absolutely any toppings and sauce available… then with a great bag of chips as well…. awesome tasting… with a great price tag… will definitely go back….
Sanjit Chudha This place is great isn’t it?! As you say, it is incredibly filling too, but healthy what with all that salad on top.

Cottons Restaurant - Clerkenwell
70 Exmouth Market, London EC1R 4QP
27.04.2008
They call this the Islington Branch… but I’d probably prefer to say the Farringdon branch… I’ve been to the Cottons in Chalk Farm, and well decor, layout wise this is a much better option. More natural lights, with light coloured decor, they will also accommodate large groups, and try to be very strict with their 2 hour seatings. One thing …well 2 really…that got on my nerves though, was the fact they don’t allow u to go up to the bar, and by your own drinks, they only allow u to order at the table, and of course pay the service charge… bit silly really.. the other, if there is over 8 people you have to order from this set course menu, so the choice is much more limited! but oh well… Food was okay…. thing is with West Indian restaurants, you compare it to your own home cooking, and well on mass, it won’t always taste exactly the same… I did choose the currygoat and rice… which was nice… hardough bread they gave us.. was .. ermm.. Hard… try leaving it out of the fridge!
After dinner, we went downstairs to the bar/dancefloor area, and on a saturday night they have a DJ, he was playin some rare groove classics… soo we shook a leg or two… drinks were reasonably priced, DJ was good…
R66 Revolving Restaurant - Hongkong
Hopewell Centre 62F, Wan Chai, Hongkong
07.04.2008
On the main Hong Kong Island, about 10 min walk from MTR Wan Chai station, you will find the Hopewell centre, one of many extremely large sky scrapers. This one, you have to take 2 or 3 lifts to get to the 62nd floor, which is where this restaurant is situated. Once you are there, as you go in, you realise your view seems to alter ever so slightly. Yes you are in a restaurant that revolves, it takes 66 mins to do 360 degrees, and shows the best views of Victoria Harbour. Try and go just before 8 so you see the daily light show on the Harbour. There is buffet type food, so im sure you’ll find something you like. There is also a live band, which felt a lil cheesy when the woman started to sing, but the views soon make you forget. Great photo opportunities, and a once in a lifetime experience.
Mytton & Mermaid Hotel - Atcham
Atcham, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY5 6QG
07.04.2008
This gorgeous Little Grade II listed building, is about 15/20 mins from Telford in the little village of Atcham. The hotel is situated on the River Severn, and looks absolutely lovely when its sunny. There is the main hotel, and then through the Bar/Restaurant, where there is a genuine log fire, which feels like home, you then enter the courtyard where there are several more rooms. The place is tastefully decorated, the staff friendly, and the food was absolutely superb! One thing to remember, if you do stay in the Courtyard rooms, and its a windy night, get the staff to remove the tauperline from outside, otherwise it will bang up and down all night rather loudly! The hotel is definitely off the main roads, but if you’re looking for a romantic country stay, this might just be it.
McArthur Glen (Ashford) - Ashford
Ashford Designer Outlet Kimberley Way, Ashford, Kent TN24 0SD
07.04.2008
I have been here 3 times now, its easily accessible, if you come by train, there is a bus that stops outside of the train station that will take you into the retail park. Make sure you get your little discount books at the beginning, they give you money off throughout the village. When you first come in, there a selection of eateries which is inside. Then as you leave this area, the the centre is almost shaped like an oblong wembley stadium, so it is covered, but it is outside, with the car park in the middle. Plenty of shops, plenty of bargains, I’ve been here in November for pre-xmas bargains… do remember it is last season stuff, but well worth the trip!
McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village Cheshire Oaks - Ellesmere Port
Kinsey Road, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire CH65 9LA
07.04.2008
Probably best to remember McArthur Glen tend to specialise in last season’s stuff, which is why they can afford to price things as they do. We usually come to these centres just before christmas, as there are plenty bargains to be had. We spent the first part of the day in Chester, then got the bus to Cheshire Oaks. Large selection of shops including most well known brands, In the eating area, there is a small selection of eateries which include the usual Maccy D’s to name one. Well worth experiencing one.
Bluewater Shopping Centre - Greenhithe
Greenhithe, Greenhithe, Kent DA9 9ST
07.04.2008
Bluewater is at present Europe’s largest retail & leisure centre which opened in 99. It’s situated in the Kent area, amongst white cliffs, and is surrounded by several lakes and parkland.
It has hundreds of shops, offering both high street and higher end fashion, electrical shops, gifts, jewellery, music.
If that isn’t enough there are plenty of bars & restaurants, coffee shops situated inside also.
To top it all off, it has its very own multi- plex cinema… and as you enter the gorgeous complex you’ll see a few people on small boats. There are a host of family activities to do too including boating.
Also is a great place to take pictures on a nice day, or have something to eat outside.
