Yum Yum Thai Restaurant - Stoke Newington

187 Stoke Newington Hifgh Street, Stoke Newington, London N16 0LH

19.06.2008

The food is good and the service is great overall. The staff are really friendly, although we did have to wait about half an hour for the bill! Portions are a good size and there’s a nice raised area where you eat with your shoes off. There is also some outdoor seating but i would advise booking this as there’s not much space. Deffo worth a visit.

Battersea Park - Battersea

Battersea Park, Battersea, London SW11 4NJ

17.06.2008

This is such a lovely park - lots of space, great sports facilities, tennis courts, a running track and more imporantly…peddle boats. Nice way to spend a sunday afternoon, and there’s even a little cafe where you can get a beer and sit by the lake.

Albert & Pearl - Islington

181 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 1RQ

17.06.2008

This is a new addition to upper street. It used to be Medicine Bar - and is definitely an improvement on that. The mojito’s are good and you can get yummy bar snacks. There’s an upstairs room that can be hired for parties too. Get there before 10.00 and it’s free otherwise you get charged £3 to get in!

Yauatcha Restaurant - Soho

15 Broadwick St Soho, Soho, London W1F 0DL

Amazing is the only word for this place! Make sure you sit downstairs as its majical with little starry lights and gorgeous decor. Upstairs is really nice for tea and cake but it’s definitely a must for dinner. It’s not the cheapest of places but i’d say it was worth the pennies.

Wine Wharf - Morden

34 Stoney Street, Borough Market, London SE1 1TQ

09.05.2008

A lovely way to escape the crowds of Borough Market and indulge in a glass of something nice - delicious croque madame’s as well!

The Bombardier - La Sorbonne

2 place du Panthéon, 75005 Paris

19.03.2008

This is my favourite English pub in Paris - if you want to go to one - make it be this one. Really friendly people, great cocktails and amazing location.

Huong-Viet - Dalston

12-14 Englefield Road, An Viet House, London N1 4LS

10.03.2008

You have to try this place out. It looks a bit random from the outside but the canteen style eatery is absolute brilliant. Food is delicious and the menu is huge. You won’t go hungry either as portions are big. I would definitely recommend the Vietnamese pancake! It’s also BYOB which is a plus and you pay £1.50 for corkage.

Snooty Fox - Canonbury

75 Grovesnor Avenue, Canonbury, London N5 2NN

21.02.2008

The Snooty Fox is brilliant - it's a really freindly pub, serves great food, nice wine and there's an amazing duke box! Well worth the walk off the beaten track.

The Fun Factory - Sternschanze

Kampstraße 9, 20357 Hamburg

20.02.2008

The best place to stay in the whole city...plenty of room to sleep / pass out, fridges full of beer, a wii, huge TV, free interntet access and 2 hot boys to look after you...what else do you need? I will never stay anywhere else!

Candid Cafe - Islington

3 Torrens Street, Islington, London EC1V 1NQ

14.02.2008

This is a hidden gem indeed. My most favourite cafe in Islington. Tucked away behind the tube station, and up some dodgy looking stairs, it's a great place to chill out with friends. The decor is really cool - there's a huge dining table in the middle of the room and lots of candles. They have delcious home made cake and the sandwiches are good too. Definitely beats anything on Upper Street.
