Great to see Frantic rated #1 in Krakow! We randomly came here and had a superb night, and luckily there was NOWHERE better to come! Music, crowd and atmosphere are all great, the main danger is banging your head on the cellar ceilings and low doorways. Which is always a consideration…

Well well, not so well liked by the locals, no. However, I can’t give this dive of a drinking hole any less than 4 stars, because when I left my camera and all my lenses there after one drunken evening, they were all there the next day!
It’s a cellar affair, right near the university so tends to be packed with students. The crowd are really friendly, and it seemed cheap to us, but no idea about the relative pricing of things. Yes there are nicer bars in Krakow, but I’d definitely give it a go!

C'est le meilleur hotel de jeunesse dans lequel j'ai sejourne. Je ne peux pas vous dire a quel point on s'est amuses la bas. Quand on est arrives, on nous a accueilli comme de la famille, on a travaille au bar, et on a change nos billets d'avion pour pouvoir aller a la soiree de Noel du personel... on est revenus tres tres vite!!! Ils ont de la musique live, un bar, beaucoup d'ordinateurs, des membres du personel tres belles...... vous ne vous ennuirez pas. Si vous allez en Krakovie, ou meme en Pologne, allez a The Giraffe. C'est hyper central, hyper bon marche et hyper bien.

This is the best youth hostel I’ve ever stayed at. I can’t begin to describe what an awesome time we had here. Suffice to say, that after getting welcomed like family, working behind the bar, changing our flights to attend the staff Christmas party… we came back very very soon! They have live music, a bar, loads of computers, some extremely attractive staff… you won’t get bored.
If you’re ever in Krakow - or even Poland, make a beeline for The Giraffe. It’s dead central, dead cheap, and er, dead good.
