I first started going regularly to OK Comics, and having my reserve list there shortly after they moved to their current location.

My previous supplier had a branch in Huddersfield but this closed down when the rent became too costly so I transfered to the Leeds branch but this closed down shortly after a break in.

Not long after I became a regular Jared asked me why I picked OK for my reserve list, I replied that like my previous supplier it was a friendly shop.

For example, on one occasion I went into the shop in my Sunday best outfit, I had also recently had a haircut and one of the lads said he almost didn’t recognise me, I said well it’s not me, I’m the mirror universe John, we had a bit of a laugh about it.

I usually get there just before closing on Saturday but on another occasion I turned up first thing in the morning (I was on my way to some outing or other). Again one of the lads said; Is it closing time already? I said No I’m falling backwards through time and I’ve come to pick up my back issues, after I’d made my purchase I said see you last week! We had a good chuckle.

On another occasion I commented on the changing appearance of one of the lads (Brendan); short hair, long har, glasses no glasses, beard (Ha!). We decided he was the Hank Pym of OK Comics.

Great cooked meals and toasties. A welcome break from work.
