A tad loud for an old fart unless you’ve never escaped your youth.
They hold a fair amount of promotional type events that help draw the younger crowds. My kids go there often and must have fun as they tend to go back.
I prefer the live bands over the neon driven DJ’s but it is one of the few places where there is some high energy and you can go and shake a leg.
300 Lorne Street, V2C 1W3 Kamloops
Go Blazers Go (Our hockey team)
BUT, I will never go to any other event there, ever.
Terrible management, worst place to hold a concert; no dancing, stay in your seat, lights kept on during the concert and more red shirts (security) than patrons.

Okay, I really do intend not to write negative reviews, but …
Not very impressed.
Do they have nice stuff - yes. Lots of variation - yes. Sales assistants if needed - yes. Which is why I gave them a couple stars.
Can a person afford any of it - no.
I could not believe the price they wanted for, well anything. Fake Christmas trees were $300 to $600 (on sale?) Most things I looked at, (which were pretty neat), had such a high price tag that I was even scared to sit it back down less I accidently broke it.
My wife had a different agenda and actually bought (overpaid) for the thing she wanted.
I needed a pond heater; which the salesperson tried to justify the price of, lol, (I did.) I originally paid $35 three years ago for the one that broke, They (Art Knapp) wanted $129 for a new one. I just phoned the store here where I bought my last one and yes their price had gone up too, but was still only $49 at regular price (for comparison purposes it is $39.99 + shipping off the internet.) Guess where I’m buying it at (The Horse Barn.)
Even being a gardener I won’t be back, except maybe to get some ideas. (A consumers power is their money and where they choose to spend it.)
NOTE: as a second opinion I told my son’s wife I had gone there. Before I could say anything else, my son said, “They are expensive, eh.”
1320 West Trans-Canada Hwy 117A, Kamloops
Reasonably priced, considering the presentation (nice). Approx $15 to $25 depending on what you are ordering.
They had a kids menu.
They were busy and it seemed to take a bit of time to get the meal (I think we were just hungry), but we did receive very good service and all left a little too full.
945 West Columbi St. 20, Kamloops
A pretty busy place, especially during the weekends.
Get there early if you want a seat.
Last couple times I’ve been there we had to leave as there was just no room for our group.
14 types of draft beer on tap so standin’ isn’t too bad.
Close to the shopping district and quite a few of the motels/inns.
It is around back of the shopping mall.
339 St. Paul Street, Kamloops
A traditional pub for a quiet drink. Smaller sized with some semi-private areas to sit with your date. Food is available too.
Attached to a 4 star hotel so the clientele are not too rowdy (makes for a short stagger back to your room.)
339 St. Paul Street, V2C 2J5 Kamloops
Nice hotel. (I use to be the accountant there.)
They tout a 4 Star Canada Select rating (I gave them 3)
Full amenities and everything you would expect from a higher end hotel in a smaller city, lol.
Nice Irish pub attached, fine dining (new chef I have not tried), they are downtown and fairly central to everything.
A short walk to the park.
540 Victoria Street, V2C 2B2 Kamloops
Casino downstairs, downtown location and reasonable rates.
We had a wedding there and although there were a few minor problems the banquet staff rectified the situation and when the time came everything went very smoothly.
We had the ceremony, dinner and yee-haw bash after (two Irish families) nice rooms and even the uptight relatives were happy with the place.
Nuggets Bar & Grill, Blackjack Lounge, and Lake City Casino all in the building.
1140 Sun Peaks Road, Sun Peaks, V0E 5N0 Kamloops
Ski out and ski in
They have internet, a large lounge/common area and private & semi private rooms.
Catch the shuttle bus from Kamloops
369 Victoria Street, V2C2A3 Kamloops
Went for an early lunch, prior to the crowd. We had the “today’s special” a homemade tomato soup with grilled ham and cheese $8
We also had a side order of sweet potato fries, (which are goooood - try them.)
Compliments to the chef (a.k.a. Brian)
A very nice ambience, a small room, wooden floor, (windows that open onto the street - summertime) and local jazz players jam there on Friday nights.
Okay, from a peasant point of view, the scotch and some of the entries were priced high.
