This is my favourite bar in Wimbledon. As you might tell by the name it’s not the sort of place that you stumble across and was recommended to us by someone who lives in the area. The couple who run it are really friendly, Sylvia does front of house and Iain runs a top restaurant at the back. Has a great selection of bottle beers, and some good draft lagers as well.
It’s like stepping into a cosy Belgian bar, and eating your moules frites and quaffing back the beer you soon forget that you 're sat just off the Kingston Rd. Warning - you may end up losing a few weekends in here if you’re not careful. ..and it’s got a late licence
The only down side is that they do occasionaly rent it out for private functions, which is well annoying when you’ve got your heart set on a nice quiet night in the hideaway.

This is a great little boozer tucked away between Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith. It’s a bit off the beaten track so it’s generally not too busy, you can get a seat and have a chat, but not so quiet you feel like you’ve walked into the slaughtered lamb. It’s got a good value thai restaurant, benches outside at the front, beer garden at rear, good beer, friendly staff….nuff said

I didn’t know this place before it got refurbished, but walked past it loads of times and thought it looked inviting.
Perfectly adequate place to meet someone for a beer and then go on somewhere else. Food wasn’t all that amazing and a little overpriced. On the plus side does have a small beer garden if weather’s nice. Maybe 3 stars is a bit generous - I’d maybe go for a straight middle of the road of 2.5 given the option. Plenty of other places in the vicinity that are better.

The Queens Head is a bit like a country pub set in the urban oasis of Brook Green. Best visited on a summers day when you can take advantage of the mahoosive beer garden. Have never eaten there so can’t comment on the food. Good beer, nice atmosphere and good-looking crowd though.
