Parkview referred to by some as “the village” is one of the few places in Joburg that has maintained its old world charm.
Take a stroll down Tyrone Avenue, lined with Jacaranda trees, and stop to have the best cuppaccino in town at The Courier, a quaint, and arty french cafe. The food is delicious, great breakfasts. (Have the eggs benedict its divine!).
Or wander down to Greens where the food is healthy and tasty.
All the shops are on street level so its a nice contrast to the usual shopping mall vibe.
Parkview is one of the safest suburbs in Joburg and the residents are sophisticated and friendly.
During the week the shops are abuzz with people doing grocery shopping, moms fetching kids from school, students walking home etc… but calms down on weekends and becomesa wonderfully relaxing place to have a glass of wine or maybe some cocktails with friends.
