Perched on the edge of the village green where cricket is played every weekend, this family run, real ale pub offers a beautiful beer garden and down to earth pub grub. Many generations of locals and passers-by flock to pause for a pint of Harveys to soak up village news - drop by once and you’ll be hooked; great village life watching, friendly atmosphere - farmers, city folk on their way home, retired, brighton media types escaping the smoke and even the odd celeb (Saatchi, Snowdon and Vinnie JOnes territory) this place gives everyone a warm welcome.
Fantastic for some - there is no mobile reception! Arrive early for Sunday lunches all year round - rest of menu is basic.
