This shop sells an amazing range of tv, film and sci-fi products, there is nothing really they don’t sell. They have a very large range of books and graphic novels and things like posters, figures, t-shirts and novelty items. It is completely different from the last shop and I like the fact it is bigger but has lost some its personal appeal. Its so white and almost clinical which is a shame as the last shop was quite cosy. The staff really know their stuff and look like they enjoy working here, they are also very friendly. There is plenty of room to move around so its a nice shopping experience, just wish it was a little more personal.

This is a great place to go when you are in Town and need a magazine or a book but it does get very crowded even though it is a big store. There is an upstairs with a good range of stationary which is of good quality but it can be quite expensive. Also the post office is upstairs which is a nightmare as it takes up so much room and is always very busy, you have to wait for ages. Downstairs there is a good selection of books of which some are on offer and they have a fantastic range of magazine, you will always find what you need. The store is just not very well laid out so you get huddled together and find it hard to get through the shop. The staff are very friendly and are very helpful, always give you a smile.
John Lewis - Southampton

John Lewis is like a shopping centre under one roof. I think you can buy anything in here as they have all the beauty counters and consessions. The shop is beautiful, well decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff are second to none as they really go out of their way to help you. The products can be a little on the expensive side but you are paying for quality. I also find that as it is big I tend to get a bit lost so end up wandering around. The restaurant is well worth a visit, great food and beautiful views.
Bear Factory - Southampton
West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton, Hampshire SO15 1QD

What I like about this store is that when you go in it feels like a proper little factory with someone on each station, it makes it feel like you are part of something. The shop is laid out well with a large range of animals to choose from and I think they fact you can record your voice to put into the teddy bear is a very personal idea. The clothes you can buy can be a bit expensive but adds to the fun as you can dress them up in all kinds of outfits. The birth certificate is a nice touch and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Argos - Southampton

I shop in Argos quite a lot as the range of products is amazing, they basically sell anything and everything. The Southampton store is very big and spacious and never feels crowded. There are lots of catalogue order station dotted around and they have quick pay options so you do not have to que up. The que for the main tills get quite busy at times but it goes down quickly as the staff work very fast. Once you have paid you head over to collection where there are quite a few seats and you can track the process of your order which is good. I have never had to wait for very long and have found the staff very helpful and efficient.
Butlins - Bognor Regis

I have been to Butlins 3 times now and it is fantastic. My little boy has an absolute blast. I do need a holiday when I get back though as there is something on all the time but you never get bored. The entertainers work so hard and must see some right little terrors but they are always bouncy and friendly and always have a smile on their face. I have been self catering and half board and always found somewhere and something to eat. The accommodation was very good and we have stayed in the Hotel once and a Silver Apartment. There is plenty to do day and night and the resort is close to the beach. The pool is clean and was so much fun. I would go back in an instant.
J Henry's Fish & Chips - Hedge End
5 Upper Northam Road, Southampton, Hampshire SO30 4DY
19.11.2008
I used to go to J Henrys all the time but over the past few months it has gone downhill. You get served by young adults who find it hard to even smile and their customer service is not the best. The chips taste like oven chips and are very hard so taste like cardboard. The location is very good though and the place does look good inside and out, its always very clean. The food is very over priced and the portion size has slowly decreased over the past few months. It’s a shame as if they upped their game it could be a little goldmine.
Greggs - Southampton
8 East Street, Southampton, Hampshire SO14 3HE
19.11.2008
I often pop into Greggs when I am in Town as they serve delicious hot and cold food along with cakes, breads and of course yum yums. Their sandwiches are always freshly made and are of great quality and you also have quite a wide range to choose from. They also have deals where you can add drinks and also deals on their cakes so the more you buy the cheaper they are. It is always busy and often the que is out of the door but this does go down quickly. It’s a shame the shop is not bigger with maybe a few seats. The staff are always friendly and polite when serving you.
Jobcentre - Southampton
61-64 High Street, Southampton, Hampshire SO16 2AA
19.11.2008
I have had quite a lot to do with the Job Centre in Southampton and think it is run very well with fantastic members of staff. The things they have to deal with I think they must have the patience of a saint. It is not the nicest of places to go as I have been where the staff are being shouted at etc but there are security inside which make it feel safe and a lady who directs you to where you want to go. It is always clean and is spacious and is run very efficiently. It is very easy to find as it is near to the High Street.
Eastleigh Borough Council - Eastleigh

Well living in the Eastleigh Borough I have had quite a lot to do with the council and I must say they are fantastic. They are quick to respond to any queiry or complaint I may have and are very friendly and professional. They offer numerous different re-cycling options complete with food bins, green bins, battery and glass collection etc. The office staff work very hard and when I have wanted more clear sacks I have emailed them and they have been on my door within 24 hours. Very efficient and professional council. When you phone you do not get kept waiting and they put you through to the right person very quickly.
