After a lovely walk in Kingston we looked forward to a hearty meal at the Juggs Pub. Boy were we disappointed. The quality of food in on par with a bad Weatherspoon’s and that is being kind. For £13 I got a overcooked piece of cod with a sprinking of even more overcooked shrimp which was all doused in a bucket of butter. Terrible. My husband opted for the Sunday Lamb Roast which was clearly processed Lamb accompanied by soggy overcooked vegetables and a burnt Yorkshire Pudding. The condiments look like they have neen borrowed from a local McDOnalds and for the price we paid one would expect much, much better.

Perhaps you would be able to overlook the food if the staff were friendly and welcoming but we found them to be rude, and completely disinterested in what they were doing.

What a terrible shame that a pub in such a brilliant location is so disappointing. I would advise that you will get better food and service and the “Welcome Break” not far up the motorway!!
