If you don’t want to spend your hard earned savings just paying for a coffee and sandwich this is the place for you!!! It is cheap and tasty all at the same time! They have lovely staff and comfortable seating and although I have only visited once I shall be frequenting this place a few more times yet…I had a very tasty chicken and bacon sandwich for only £2.75 and it was stuffed full with ingredients!!! there was a group of us that popped in and everyone was satisfied with their purchases and the price of them too I highly recommend this as it is a darn site cheaper than the starbucks or costas around. So give it a go if you are in the area….
Lakeside plant and garden centre - Telford
Wood house lane, Telford TF2 9UR

I was so impressed with this lovely little garden centre. It has a very homely feel to it not like the usual franchises… It is a family run business and hosts a variety of different things including a rescue centre for animals on site, this is very popular with schools and families who visit to feed the animals which include Wallabies, Mara, Kuni Kuni pigs, Guinea pigs, rabbits, Pigmy goats, chickens and ducks. They sell a host of things including furniture, sheds conservatories as well as a plethora of plants. it is well worth a look when you around the area… I grew up in Telford and visit regularly and didn’t know it existed!! And now I shall go back again when next in the area. There is a lovely friendly cafe onsite too which is well worth a visit…
Sheds Now - Telford
Direct House, Horton Wood 7, Telford TF1 1

Hi there these are top quality sheds that are custom made to order. You can even design your own if you like! They are extremely competitive in their pricing and come in all shapes and sizes from chicken houses to kennels to wendy houses to large out door summer houses to wheelie bin or recyle box storage. Really friendly staff and they will do their best to accommodate your specific requirements. I have placed the map marker at their outlet at Lakeside Plant and Garden Centre in Priorslee but their base is in Horton Wood. Times are as shown above but please note that the Garden centre is only manned with Shedsnow staff at the weekends but sheds are available to view all week and information will be available there. Please ring on the free phone number for more information, queries and prices.
Motor parts direct - Winchester

I am not one for cars but just lately I have had quite a few problems with mine!!! This place is great for almost anything you will ever need in the way of car parts and is priced quite reasonably too.. Although unfortunately alternators for fiats are NOT cheep!!! But highly recommended for those of you who are in need of parts. The staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and polite which I as a single lady always find a good thing and means I will continue to shop there, not too many times you understand I don’t want to be frequenting it too often!!!
Maz Crafts - Bishopstoke

This is the quaintest little craft shop which has not long opened, Feb 21st 2009. A lone adventure of someone I met working at the craft central in Wyvale, Fair Oak, who has set up on her own. I highly recommend a visit she is a lovely welcoming lady and if there doesn’t happen to be the item you are looking for she will order it in for you. There is a little room available for very reasonable rent on the premises which is ideal for craft clubs, demonstrations etc. with tea and coffee making facilities. All in all for a first timer at retail she has made a very big step and it looks like it is paying off!! Give this little shop a try if you are in the area and need to top up your crafty bits!!
Whitely village outlet, - Fareham

This is a quaint little, and I mean little outlet village certainly not on the scale of the likes of say cheshire oaks… but it has some lovely shops I highly recommend going to past times it always seems to be having a sale on and my friend and I spent quite a time perusing the wares.. It also seems to be cheaper than the one in Winchester too although can’t be too sure of that…There are some beautiful gifts and with the sale on before Christmas some great bargains to be had!!! They have a paper mill shop although the price of the card seems to be higher as the box is smaller if you want to fill it it will now cost you £4.99 for a box and as the box is half the size of what it was previously that is a hefty £3 dearer than before… So beware… There is a large Tesco on site and I prefer to park there walk around then do my grocery shop afterward as it is easier to find a space…all in all a lovely set of shops…

I visited here with a friend on Sunday as it was highly recommended. It was wonderful the service was great and we waited about 20min for our table which was fine. The Sunday carvery costs £6.50 but we felt worth every penny!!! We had a choice of 3 meats turkey gammon and beef you can have just one or a bit of all three if you want!! You can have as much or as little depending on your waistline. The carvery is only £3.50 during the week which is amazing!!!From Dec 1st - 24th they are doing two courses for only £5!!!! Either roast turkey with trimmings, roast beef Yorkshire pud and gravy, Chef’s festive Gammon or Mushroom Wellington for main and a choice of traditional Christmas pud with brandy sauce or selection of ice-cream. There are two other menu’s for Christmas too but you will need to book for these - one on Christmas day which is £36 for 3 courses slightly more varied menu than above Children under 10 £18. And available Christmas eve, boxing day and New Years Eve 3 courses at £7.95 Under 10 £3.95. All in all relatively cheap considering the size of meal you end up with!!! We thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

This is the 17th century house where Jane Austen lived. The web site is quite informative, but the house is just wonderful and takes you right back in time! In one room there is the little circular table where Jane would have written her letters. There are even costumes to try on and hire if you ring ahead…I would take a little walk down the road where there are some more beautiful homes and you feel like she would have done the same…There is an old trap in the out buildings it makes you wonder if she rode in it…The garden is lovely and there is a little shop to get some unique gifts like old ink pens and ink etc A tea room is just opposite the house which is delightful!

This is the most beautiful B&B I have seen in a while. It has a lovely homely feel and everywhere is decorated beautifully!!! It is like stepping into a Jane Austen novel…This was built from the old stables of Alresford House. There is a fantastic sitting room with plasma TV and an array of videos and dvds to keep you occupied if there is a gap in your schedule. The couple are very welcoming and I think the mother of the owner has done some paintings as there are a few posters with the family name on. The rooms are individually delightful! And as far as I could see they were all en suite. Like a breath of fresh air and not over priced either. I was so pleased my friends had somewhere lovely to stay and they felt very special. I heard the breakfast was an amazing spread and I know they didn’t need lunch while we were out for the day!!! Well worth a visit!!!!

This is a stately home which is set in some very well kept beautiful gardens. The walled garden has a plethora of dahlias of every kind!!! And is awash with colour in the summer months. Around the rest of the garden are some stunning rose bushes and a rectangular lilly pond, I will post some of the gorgeous flowers from here. The house is beautiful although you only get to see the downstairs. I think the manager lives there… There is a chapel on site which is peaceful and they have a little selection of second hand books which you can purchase by putting some money in a hole in the wall. I think donations are welcome so just pop them with the ones you see… You don’t get much of a choice for food at the cafe so best bring a picnic although they have some lovely home made soup and a roll….
