JAMA STEAKHOUSE - Prag
OSTROVNI 26, NAMESTI MIRU, 110 00 Praha
24.01.2011
The sister bar/restaurant of the original Jama on v Jame.
Opened in 2010. Has that Jama feel to it. It's another bar below street level. Those kind of places are always special.
The steaks here are reasonably priced. They are all a good size. Well, they manage to fill me up anyway.
Similar micro-brews as at Jama. Same low prices.
More friendly staff.
I love Prague.
Bohemia Bagel - Prag
Masná 2, Staré Město, 110 00 Praha
24.01.2011
Bohemia Bagel on Masna which is just 2 mins walk from the Old Town Square down Dlouha Street. It's siuated in one of the touristy areas it still is good value. Eat in or take away
Bagels, sandwiches, chicken, steaks, breakfasts, fish. Has everything!
The staff speak a little english and are very friendly.
It is a real gem of a fast food establishment.
Jama the Hollow - Prag
v Jame 7, 110 00 Praha
24.01.2011
My favourite drinking establishment in the very centre of Prague.
It has everything you could want:
Beer for a pound a pint...less during the daily Happy Hours.
Great beer too. All the products of the special micro-breweries of the Czech Republic. Not the big multi-nationals.
The tastiest pub food. Everything from Mexican to English breakfast to vegeterian to finger food like Chicken wings/fingers to Czech goulash (my favourite is the beef goulash and dumplings).
They have even won awards for their burgers. They have the signs from www.prague.tv and www.expats.cz to prove it )
The girls doing the work are all really friendly and good at their jobs. Very professional but also a lot of fun.
Plenty of parties here.
As an American i love the football they show Sundays.
It's American-owned but the bar is always full of Czechs (always a good sign of value for money) plus a few tourists and expats like me.
U Maleho Glena - Prag
Karmelitska 23, Praha 1, Praha
24.01.2011
As Tommowinnie said before me Little Glenn's is tiny but that's where it's magic comes from.
It is the perfect winter vnue if you like a good Czech pivo and a shot (OR 5) of slivovice to warm yourself up.
The music is always the biz.
The owner, i think, is Irish hence the Guinness.
Always good to pop in when i'm that side of the river.
The food fills a hole nicely too.
