Poor quality food, staff that really don't understand any English, not good

Slow service today :( not up to the usual f&b standards.

Great local restaurant, good food, served well at good prices. Well worth a visit

Superb steaks, cooked exactly as asked and a good size. Bit strange to have them in metric weights as I’m used to ounces!

Prices are a bit expensive as sides are extra but drinks aren’t too bad and all together a bit expensive but worth the quality of the food.

They claim they offer a fine dining experience and are advertised in the Hampshire Eateries guide as such.
They have an alacarte menu and a set menu (2 courses £15.95, 3 courses £18.95) which is very limited on options. There are a lot of local fish options on the menu, a pork, vegetarian, and steak option.
I have pate on toasted brioche to start which was very good, nice sized portion, warm bread, looked good on the plate. I had medium rump steak for my main on chips, given the style of restaurant I didn’t expect oven chips! The steak was nice, a little more done than I expected for medium but I do find thats varies from chef to chef. I then had crumble of the day for dessert (apple, pear, and winter berries) which I must say was very good, brought to the table extremely hot, I can assume just out the microwave was a bit annoying.
Overall it was quite impressive, but I was the only person in the restaurant, the ambience wasn’t bad, but I did find the staff having their conversations at the bar a bit off putting, and I would have suggested they do it elsewhere.

A modernly decorated restaurant which stands out quite a bit in Newport.
Its very much like other Pizza Expresses I’ve been to, except it wasn’t very busy at all, I’m guessing the local people don’t go here that often!
The food was nice, has a starter of bruschetta and a Sloppy Giuseppe Pizza as my main. Very impressed.

Fairly cheap for the Island and is easy but don’t expect a good nights sleep. Remember to take you’re own toiletries and if you like tea, take you’re own!

A really good toy shop hidden away at the end of Portswood, you have to know where to look! Not always open, even during the week so check opening times.

Lots of toys & games, and run by games enthuiasts for them! Would well recommend a visit.

A very bog standard hotel that just didn't really make an impression on me, a good price for central Bournemouth though!

Stuffy staff in places, the dinner menu was incredibly limited, the pool was very cool, and just felt a bit dated. The room was comfortable enough, it would do for a business stay, but I wouldn't want to stay there!

Excellent hotel, looking over Mudeford Bay. Very luxurious hotel in every detail, from the rooms, the decor, the restaurant, all the way down to the spa, jacuzzi, and treatment rooms.

Very good food in the hotel restaurant, lovely ambiance, with someone playing the piano during dinner, and another restaurant in the grounds with a michelin starred chef!

The spa, pool, jacuzzi, steam & sauna rooms were all very nice and clean and looked recently redecorated. They weren't too busy so we could use all of them during the stay in the hotel.

Prices were average for a 4-Star and it was about £200 for a weekend night for two with dinner, drinks and a treatment each in the spa. A very well relaxed stay in the a nice hotel, with an ambassador program for discounts for regular guests!
