An old haunt of mine and still a favourite whenever I'm visiting my parents. This is where I started on cider (Stowford Press, which is still lovely stuff on a hot day) to good European lager before learning to love ale. You've got it all here. The staff are knowledgable and friendly enough not to look down their nose at you if you aren't a real ale buff. Not a traditional pub, has an airy, almost wine bar feel to it, but does everything a pub should. A bit pricey, but so is just about every non Sam Smiths pub in the UK these days (even Wetherspoons!)
