If you're looking for a nice suit, posh biscuits or a nice wooly, designer jumper and jewels for grandma, then walk this way. Most people make the mistake of thinking they can short-cut their way through from Northumberland Street to the Haymarket bus station or vice-versa. If you know what lies ahead then have a go burrowing your way through the bustle to catch that all important bus. However, as a small child I did get my coat attached to one of the christmas trees as I walked between the column and the escalator. My coat got ripped. This shop always seems to be populated with the older generation and the fountain of youth, it is certainly not. Don't come here looking for bargains. Do come here for the cafe and the gorgeous brownies or even the short-cut when it's raining elephants.
