The Westbury (formerly The Red Lion), along with The Good Ship and the music venue the Luminaire are probably the bars attracting visitors from outside of Kilburn to look bewildered of a weekend up the high road.
I am informed (by a rather drunk man) that The Westbury is under the same managment as that of Fabric (...but who knows if that's just gin-babblebollocks). But that would explain the line up of hip hop and breaks djs such as The Herbaliser, Mixologists, DJ Vadim...etc etc., and I've even seen Plump Djs on the flyers.
There are huge (HUGE) american pool tables which are charged per hour and are quite pricey.... cocktails ...floral wall paper, lots of mirrors, chandeliers and other decorations which scream "classy".... but not too offensive.... and if you can afford to drink their for long enough....it can turn surprisingly pleasant.
Friday and Saturdays charge £3 entrance at night which is reasonable considering the dj line ups - if that's your thing.
Perhaps the busiest weekend night on the high road.
Makes a nice companion to the more rockier Good Ship if you want to juggle your weekends between the two.
