This site has had a supermarket for decades. It was a Co-op department store at one time only to become a Presto, a Safeway, a Morrison's and now a Sainsbury's. At first i didnt think Sainsbury's was a good fit for Morden, but its staple offering of quality fare mean that it is has fit in and kept a lot of its custom from the Safeway days.
There is a car pary beside this store for lazy shoppers, but this is not owned or managed by the supermarket therefore it charges. The local council love to make money out of nothing and pretend they have no money, but parking is free on Sundays and it is easy to find a space. Come here for your needs and be met by an average shopping expereince
