Not far from JingShan park, here you can similarly climb a hill and get a nice view over the old town of beijing. The park surrounds a peaceful lake and features a few nice rock gardens and pagodas. The peninsular area (with the big white tibetan pagoda) also has an imperial cuisine restaurant - more for tourists than anything - 150 kuai per person and you get about 10 small portions of what the emperors apparently used to eat… sea cucumber, camel hump etc.
Worth going to if you’re in the area but I wouldn’t plan a special trip here. There’s lots of good bars / restaurants nearby.
