A lovely pub from the BBC Series “Down to Earth”
Very friendly with real ales in barrells behind the bar, cheese and biscuits on the bar on Sundays.
Sunday lunch is a must - the stilton and garlic bread, masses of meat, roast potatoes and veg followed by chocolate tiffin cake - a dream! Service is really good.
If your booking ask for the little table in its own room in the restaurant, very private and can sit from 2 to 6 people.
