Our first afternoon in Amsterdam and we were wandering around the Jordaan looking for a bite to eat. On a whim we popped in to de Blauwe Pan and we were quite pleased with our lunch.
I had a great grilled sandwich with mozzarella and tomato and a couple of ice cold Leffe’s to wash it down. Service was a bit scattered (our salads were forgotten and it took forever for us to get our bartenders attention even though we were sitting at the bar!) but friendly and we even managed to make friends with a couple of locals who impressed us with their knowledge of CSI and Mythbusters.
Four stars for the congenial atmosphere, the warm sandwich and cold beer and dirt cheap prices.
