It certainly wasn’t the ‘alluring’ name that drew me in here, rather the close proximity to where I was studying and the pull of a good cup of coffee. It’s a busy local gathering point with newspapers on sale and an authentic, friendly atmosphere.
The coffee didn’t disappoint and was a bargain (although coffee prices are fixed by the state in Italian caffès). I appreciated the fact that there were sachets of honey available in addition to sugar.
This place gets very popular at lunchtime, with a range of pizza slices and hot dishes on offer - I can’t vouch for their quality personally but they seemed in demand. Ideally I’d give two and a half stars as, in all honestly, for my taste, there’s an abundance of places to choose from - relatively nearby - that enticed me more…
