Having been here a couple of times, I can’t say I have any desire to go back. The meat I had, although not bad, certainly was nothing to write home about. I’m pretty convinced they’ve got the aroma’s all wrong here too: I appreciated butchers are going to smell of freshly carved cadavers, but many of the good butchers somehow make this appealing (and a good piece of fresh meat can indeed smell delectable). At Bradshaws on Copson street however, there’s more of a chemical/bleach aroma permeating the vicinity: perhaps they’re overdoing the cleansing bit too much. Frankly it’s off putting.
I can also say I’ve never been impressed with the attitude of the staff…can’t say I (or indeed others) have ever been made welcome.
They also sell freshly roasted chickens and packaged up cutlets/cuts for this 'barbecue’ season we’re all experiencing.
I’ll stick with Robinsons on Wilmslow Road.
