Much the best pub on the main drag in Earl's Court, close to the Underground. Owned by Fuller's, it does an extensive range of standard pub grub (specialising in pies) and the full range of Fuller's real ales, generally well-kept.
This former bank features high ceilings, lots of polished wood, and has a traditional pubby atmosphere. It's usually busy and draws a varied crowd, with a fair number of tourists. An added bonus is the quieter no-smoking area at the back (where you can also escape the sports TV screen at the front if that's not your thing).
It would get an extra point from me if they were just a little more subtle at closing time - but you'll be spared this is you leave by 22:45...
