John Snow became a favourite newsagents of mine as a result of my love of the journalist/newsman/hero Jon Snow.
It is the closest and most convenient shop for bread/milk emergencies for me and it suffices perfectly as such. It doesn’t have a comprehensive selection of newspapers and magazines, and beyond emergency groceries the food is limited.
What I really like about John Snow is the surprisingly excellent range of stationery available at the back of the cramped store. I get much joy from the tiny envelopes and various sticky tapes, but that’s probably a personal thing.
