Sadler's Wells is London's premier dance venue hosting a series of ballets, contemporary and modern dance performances and sometimes opera. Tickets are not extravagantly expensive and there are various discounts available (students, OAPs etc); standbys are sold from an hour before at the box office.
Seats are comfortable although the hall tends to become overheated and it's not an especially beautiful setting. The crowd is eclectic: seasoned theatre goers, ballet-besotted teenage girls and there's a large gay scene. Come in a suit or in jeans and a shirt: it's a welcoming venue and the bar on the ground floor is popular despite extortionately priced drinks.
