“ Six Flags over Texas ist perfekt um einen Tag in Texas zu verbringen!Die Achterbahnen kann man nicht mit denen in Deutschland vergleichen; so viel Spaß habe ich noch nie in einem deutschen Freizeitpark gehabt.Der Park ist für die ganze Familie geeignet; es gibt Achterbahnen für sehr junge Kinder, aber auch normale!Zusätzlich bietet Six Flags over Texas bietet eine Vielzahl von saisonalen Events!Der Eintrittspreis ist das Geld für einen spaßigen Tag auf jeden Fall wert, wobei man ab und zu gucken sollte, ob es nicht Aktionen wie z.B. von Coca Cola gibt, welche die Tickets vergünstigen.An jedem Stand im Park gibt es Wasser for free, Softdrinks haben normale Parkpreise, das Essen ist nicht sehr teuer sowie nicht qualitativ hochwertig, aber es ist essbar und total okay.Man sollte so früh wie möglich in den Park gehen, damit man den ganzen Tag nutzen kann.Parktickets sind vergleichsweise hoch, im Herbst waren es um die 20$/Auto.Falls man in Texas sein sollte, sollte man auf jeden Fall einen Tag in Six Flags over Texas verbringen!  (izpi, 23.04.2013) 5

“ Leckerer, rein vegetarischer Falafelladen, für einen schnellen und günstigen Imbiss zwischendurch. Das freundliche Personal erklärt einem gerne, wie das ganze funktioniert. Man bekommt nämlich seine bestellte Falafeltasche und kann danach am Salat- und Gemüsebuffet soviel man will selbst befüllen und noch extra in einem Schälchen etwas zusammenstellen. Das Buffet ist all you can eat, der gebratene Brokkoli hat uns unter anderem super geschmeckt. So wird man auch mehr als satt! Die hauseigene Limo ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Hier hat man übrigens auch Männergruppen gesehen, die sich ordentlich den Wanst vollgeschlagen haben. Und da soll nochmal einer sagen, vegetarisch wäre nix für ganze Kerle. ;> (Mairu, 20.04.2013) 5

“ Sehr tolles Restaurant! Die Tische stehen für meinen Geschmack etwas gequetscht aneinander, aber ansonsten war das Ambiente angenehm. Die vielen Portraits einer thailändischen Prinzessin (?) fallen dem Besucher schnell ins Auge. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient, aber mussten ziemlich lang auf unser Essen warten. Dafür wurde mehrmals kostenlos hauseigener Eistee nachgeschenkt, der auch sehr gut war. Das Essen hat uns vollkommen überzeugt, dafür haben wir gern gewartet. Ich hatte zwar "nur" Nudeln mit Tofu, Gemüse und Erdnüssen, aber die waren irre. Toll kombinierte Aromen, kein 0815 Thai! Mir läuft jetzt noch das Wasser im Mund zusammen, wenn ich dran denke. ;> Meine Begleitung hatte etwas aus dem heißen Topf, was auch 1A war. Vegan war auch absolut kein Problem. Ach, außerdem gibt es Krombacher. ;> Später wurde uns auch noch freundlich erklärt wie man zum nächsten Supermarkt findet, da wir uns in der Gegend nicht so auskannten und noch Reiseproviant besorgen mussten. “ Hier gibts nicht nur Kaffee, sondern auch einiges an Snacks und kalten Getränken. Wir haben draußen in der Sonne gesessen, wo aber nicht umsonst "Pigeon-Be-Gone"-Spray (ich schätze Wasser :P) zur Verfügung stand. Das freundliche Personal steht einem gerne beratend zur Seite. So bestellte ich einen wunderbaren großen Spinatsalat mit Früchten und karamellierten Nüssen. Durch Weglassen des Käses konnte dieser für mich vegan gemacht werden. “ For some reason, Qype does not accept the location "Buda" - so made it Austin.We stayed at Microtel for a few days during SXSW 2013. The pricing was ok and 15 driving minutes to the South Congress epicentre a short distance. Positvely, we could check in very early, what is not usual for this kind of hotels. Rooms and beds were good, bathroom for a new hotel a bit old fashioned. However, we basically came to sleep after the showcases. And here's the negative side: as most buildings in the US, this hotel is build of wood and, you guess, you can hear your neighbours' bedsport activities quite detailed. I don't mind, but it gives you a light sleep during the night. As well as the aircondition. I thought this kind of 1980s rammed below window boxes are out of fashion. No, they still exist - and quite loud. It took me a while find out how to switch this bastard completey off. So, due to all this disturbances I had to sleep longer in the morning. And here's the next bummer. The room service pays no attention to your room, if you're not left until 11am. So, we had three days with a non cleaned room. I don't mind that much, as long as I have enough towels. But this is definitly a big service minus. I did not have any breakfast, so I cannot rate here. Wifi is free but pretty slow, once many people are logged in. (Flaming, 23.03.2013) 2

The List Parrot Cabins is one unique resort, not comparable to any other in Austin.These good folks love South American art and offer a variety of cool, colorful cabins, each filled with fantastic memorabilia from Dia De Los Muertos, Lucha Libre or Frida Khalo. And most of the stuff is available for purchase! Even more, if you check out the Airstream wagon at the office, packed with goodies at reasonable prices. The cabins are equipped with Futon beds, what's not everybody's gusto. To me they work fine, although my cabin provided just a queen bed for two. We had cabin C with a basic kitchen, big freezer and sweet bathroom. I highly appreciate that all towels were as colorful as the rest of the cabin and no plain whites. Perfectly equipped with everything you need for a stay. You'll get new towels etc. at the office, if needed. And yes, no room service. This means no annoying knocking at the door at 9 in the morning. Sleep long, spend the day on your own veranda or at the small pool era, the amazing garden. Or have a chat with the nice manager, while he works on his vintage Ford Falcon. If you like, check out the bar area and have a couple of drinks with other guests, sit in the Hot Tub, surrounded by an army of celebrity rubber ducks. Every day you will find something new here. The cabins surely give a good picture for your next Facebook photos. As they stand alone, you won't have any neighbours bothering you too - it was surprisingly quiet anyway. If you are allergic against cat hair, tuff luck. Here's a bunch of gorgeous kitties living. I loved to stay here and can't wait to return next year. (Flaming, 23.03.2013) 5
